Revival of the production created in 1963 in Milan at Teatro alla Scala: the sets had been refurbished, the costumes restored under the supervision of Maurizio Millenotti and new choreography was provided by Vladimir Vasiliev. It had 7 performances at Rome's Teatro dell'Opera.
This revival was then staged at Palermo's Teatro Massimo on November 26, 2008, for 10 performances; at Tel Aviv's Israeli Opera-YAFO on July 14, 2009, for 6 performances; finally back at Milan's Teatro alla Scala on February 14, 2012, for 12 performances, and on May 8, 2018, for 7 performances.
