Theatre company "Il Carro dell'Orsa Minore"
From Zeffirelli's Autobiography, it appears that this one-act play by Pirandello was the first production for which he designed the set. The performance was staged by the company “Il Carro dell’Orsa Minore”, founded in Florence by Alessandro Brissoni.
Born in Florence in 1913, in 1938 Brissoni was among the first to graduate in directing from the Accademia d'Arte Drammatica, established in Rome in 1936. He later engaged in an intense career as a playwright and director for the stage, radio, and television. Under his direction, Zeffirelli took his first steps also as an actor.
No documents related to this production are preserved in the Archives.
