Theatre company: "Il Carro dell'Orsa Minore"
From Zeffirelli's Autobiography, it seems that this was one of the first productions for which he designed the set. The play was adapted from the short story by Mark Twain, possibly by Alessandro Brissoni himself, whom Zeffirelli credited with directing the production. Given the brevity of the two plays, it may be that both "La patente" and "The man who corrupted Hadleyburg" were performed on the same evening as a double bill.
In the Archives, there are only the proofs of a few b/w stills from the production, which are of little significance. The negatives are not present.
